Masters of Science Fiction Review

I’m a big fan of Science Fiction literature (abbreviated SF, not sci-fi) and I wish I’d caught Masters of Science Fiction on ABC. It’s a series in which they base the episodes on “some of the genre’s most popular and highly regarded short stories.” I guess I’ll just have to resort to reading Ryan Malesevich’s summary of each episode. It would still be worth picking up the stories, though.

If you want further reading suggestions, try these:

  • Dune by Frank Herbert
  • Neuromancer by William Gibson
  • Eyes of Amber by Joan Vinge
  • Winterlong by Elizabeth Hand

Thanks Chris! I appreciate your recommendations. My Dad gave me a couple of books that I’m going to read first. And since I don’t really want to buy more things, I’m going with his to save a few dollars. But I’ll write down those for future references.

I’ve got them all if you want to borrow them. Just give me a holler when you’re done with your dad’s.
