Adobe AIR Beta 2 is out
Adobe recently released Beta 2 of its Adobe Integrated Runtime environment that allows web developers to make desktop applications. Here are some new features that might interest us HTML/Javascript developers:
- HTML form control look and feel
- Keyboard controls within text box
- Mouse support for double-click and scrollwheel
- New HTML security model with network sandbox and doors API
Here are the release notes if you want to check out more features.
Additionally, they announced the winners of the AIR Derby. Nothing too impressive, in my opinion.
Aptana has also updated their AIR plugin to handle Beta 2. Apps can now be digitally signed! No more ugly UNVERIFIED text.
