JibberBook 2.1 Released!
May 2nd, 2008 in scripts | 2 Comments
This release packs in a bunch of new features. Here’s a quick run-down:
Email Notifications and RSS
Now it’s a lot easier to know when you’ve got new comments. If you provide an email address in the config file, the comment will also be emailed to you. If you’d prefer not to do that, you can subscribe to your RSS feed located at [blog url]/feed/. Sweet!
Localization
I know this one is important since most of you who use JibberBook don’t speak English natively. Right now there are only two other languages (Russian and German), but I hope to expand that. Even so, it’s a lot easier to translate it yourself because the messages are no longer hard-coded.
Emoticons/Smilies
To better contend with the competition, I’ve decided to add emoticon image replacement.
New Home
Since JibberBook is growing so much, I’ve decided to give it a new home. You can now find it at http://jibberbook.com/. Additionally, it is now hosted at Google Code, with a discussion group at Google Groups. This blog is no longer the place to leave comments about problems or suggestions, but praise is always welcome
That’s about it for the major updates. Go try it out!
